As the duration of copyright extends beyond a composers’ lifetime, royalties can continue to be generated after a composers’ death. APRA is able to pay royalties for the works of a composer who has died to their legal successor. Successors are required to complete a specific application form and provide certain documentation to confirm their eligibility.
